Almost 15 months ago, I submitted my application, to become a volunteer at XXII Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia. When I was filling in the application form, it was like a joke to me. Simply because, I was absolutely sure, that I will get rejected, after manager’s first look on it. You can’t even imagine, how big was my surprise, when I got invited for Skype interview, 4 months after submission.
It`s funny how hello always ends with a goodbye,
it`s funny how good memories can start to make you cry.
It`s funny how forever never really seems to last,
it`s funny how much you`d lose if you forgot about your past.
It`s funny how friends can just leave you when you`re down,
it`s funny how when you need someone they`re never around.
It`s funny how people change and think they`re so much better,
it`s funny how many lies can be packed in one “love letter”.
It`s funny how people forgive even though they can’t forget,
it`s funny how one night can contain so much regret.
It`s funny how ironic life turns out to be
but the funniest part of all, none of that`s funny to me.
Fifteen-hundred people went into the sea, when Titanic sank from under us. There were twenty boats floating nearby… and only one came back. […] Afterward, the seven-hundred people in the boats had nothing to do but wait… wait to die… wait to live… wait for an absolution… that would never come.
Don’t limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember, you can achieve.
